External access and entrance
- The approach to the picnic area is via a wide level concrete path which travels from the parking bays, past the lookout, through and past the picnic area and onto the accessible toilets.
Walkways
- A wide, level concrete path travels along the beach.
- On approach to the picnic and barbeque area, the path has a section where it travels up a slope. In this section it has a gradient ranging from 1:14 to 1:19.
Seating
- There is a standard size wooden park bench without a back or armrest located along the path near the drink fountain and shower facilities.
Viewing Platform
- There is a viewing platform overlooking the ocean.
- Access is via a wooden flight of stairs with handrails on both sides. Steps do not have colour contrasted edges.
- Alternatively, there is an 85cm wide wooden decking switchback ramp with handrails leading to the lookout. There is sand at the ramp entrance. The ramp has a landing at each regular change in direction and has a gradient ranging from 1:14 to 1:16.
- There are two standard size wooden bench seats at the top of the lookout without armrests.
Beach Access
- Access to the beach is via a path that has a limestone surface. It has sand covering it in some sections. The path has a gentle downward slope.
- There are paths leading to the beach regularly along the main path which travels along the beach.
Picnic facilities
- Picnic table is connected to the main path.
- Table has fixed standard size benches without arm or back rests. There are spaces at each end that may be suitable for wheelchairs. There is a 70cm clearance.
- Picnic table is semi sheltered, depending on the time of day, by a sail shade.
Barbecues
- There are two gas barbeques in the picnic area. They are located about 5 meters away from the picnic table on the same concrete pad. Barbeques are not sheltered.
- The cooking surface is 93cm high and 4cm deep with controls at sitting height.
- There is a 1 meter concrete path clearance between the barbeque and the grass.
Drinking fountain
- A drinking fountain is located on the wide level concrete path at sitting height.
- Two showers are located near the drink fountain with controls at sitting height.
