  • Pedestrian access: It is level from the bay to the paved path and verandah.

External access and entrance
  • A 92cm wide entrance door that is held open leads into a large carpeted foyer where there is a second wide automatic sliding entrance door.
  • This leads to a second foyer and the hairdresser and podiatrist.

  • External access: Level entry at the top of the ramp.
  • Toilet door: An 80cm wide door that is light to open with no self closing mechanism. It has a D handle and a large lock.

Toilet: Unisex accessible toilet: Foyer

  • Gender: Unisex
  • Description: Located off the entrance foyer, near the activity room, hall, hairdresser and podiatrist.
  • External access: Wide foyer.
  • Toilet door: An 80cm wide sliding door that is light to open with a D handle and a small lock. There is reduced space around the sliding door handle, which may restrict access for some wheelchair users.

Dining room
  • There is a 10 metre long ramp up to the dining room, an accessible toilet and rear access to the stage.  The ramp has a gradient that varies between 1:20 to 1:16.
  • Dining room servery is 90cm high. This is where the self serve tea and coffee is located at meal times. Staff can assist where required and they serve main meals. 
  • Tables are 74cm high with 70cm knee clearance. Chairs without armrests are 46cm high.

  • Chairs have armrests and seats 47cm high.
  • Access to the stage is via four steps with a handrail and colour contrast on the step edges. Alternatively access is via a ramp to the dining room.
Activity room
  • Wide entrance.
  • Member only (Armadale Kelmscott Senior Citizen Association) pool tables. Enough space for users of wheelchairs and walking aids to ciculate around the tables. 
  • Chairs have armrests and seats 47cm high.
Podiatrist and hairdresser
  • Doors are 76cm wide.
  • Spacious hairdressing salon with a vinyl floor.
  • Chairs with armrests are 40cm high.
  • Basin designed to allow for a wheelchair user to approach.
