  • Entry through the Armadale Library, with level entry from the shopping centre arcade.
  • 95cm space between security pedestals into the main library.
  • Entrance into the Birtwistle library is through an 87cm wide door, heavy to open and slow to close with a lever handle.

Internal area
  • There is no service counter however staff can see customers through a window from the office and provide assistance when required.  There is a bell available for people to ring for assistance.
  • Information is stored on bookshelves from floor to standing height.
  • The computer is on a desk 72cm high with 70cm knee clearance. Seats do not have armrests.
  • Carpeted floors.

  • The main entrance door has large historic photographs and lettering with a fancy style print in tones of red.
  • Information produced by the library is clear and has good colour contrast.
