Closest accessible parking

  • Two accessible parking bays in the car park at the side of the building.
  • Bays are 5.4 metres long and 3.6 metres wide and identified by faded ground markings.
  • Bays are on bitumen slope from front to back with a gradient of 1:16.
  • Vehicle access from: Townley Street
  • Pedestrian access: Kerb ramp connects parking to a covered verandah.

External access and entrance
  • A wide, paved, predominately covered path connects the accessible bays to the main entrance.
  • A wide gate is located midway which is held open during office hours.
  • The main entrance is double glazed doors, 80cm wide when one door is open. Doors are light to operate, slow to close with a pull handle and there is a 1.5cm lip at the door.

Reception
  • The reception desk, located in the large reception foyer, is not staffed every day. The foyer is large and the desk is at standing height.
Organisation offices
  • The offices are arranged around two courtyards and there are several connecting internal corridors which also lead into offices.
  • All carpeted corridors and concrete verandahs around the courtyards are wide. 
  • Doorways along corridors have 1.5cm lips.
  • Office doors are all 78cm wide with a lever handle. Doors are light to operate and slow to close.

External signage is in good colour contrast with large print.

Toilet: Unisex accessible toilet

  • Gender: Unisex
  • Description: The toilet is near the main entrance, reception foyer and shared meeting room.
  • External access: Wide external corridor.
  • Toilet door: An 82cm wide sliding door with a D handle inside and a small finger recess on the outside. The door has a small lock and is easy to slide.

  • Basin height: 78cm
  • Lighting: On at all times.

  • Located off the spacious corridor leading to the unisex accessible toilet with a door similar to the offices.
  • One large carpeted room which can be partitioned into two smaller rooms.
  • Trestle tables 75cm high with 73cm knee clearance, chairs are 50cm high, some with armrests.
